Success in Clinical Technologist Training Scheme
Congratulations to Lisa Moore and Asima Riaz from Imaging Physics and Radiation Safety (IPRS) who out of a national cohort of 17 other clinical technologist have successfully completed the IPEM’s latest Clinical Technologist training scheme. Lisa and Asima are now eligible to achieve registration on the Register of Clinical Technologists (RCT).

8000 face shields supplied to front-line staff
Staff within NMPCE have set up an assembly line to make face shields, a part of the enhanced personal protective equipment (PPE) needed by NHS front-line staff during the COVID-19 pandemic. With the help of colleagues from other Directorates in Newcastle Hospitals, Newcastle University, Northumbria University and industry, more than 8000 face shields have been delivered to clinical staff to date.
